Gerrit Nulens


Percussion player

Gerrit Nulens is a percussionist, born in Belgium in 1972. He’s been a member of Ictus from the beginning and has played with other ensembles, such as, Champ d’Action, Spectra, MusikFabrik, Klangforum Wien and Schlagquartet Köln. As a soloist and chamber musician, he has participated in the premiere of numerous works by today’s leading composers. He’s also invited on a regular basis by Brussels Philharmonic to complement their percussion section. He has given masterclasses and workshops in the USA, UK and Belgium and is currently teaching percussion at the Conservatoire Royal de Liège.

Gerrit Nulens est percussionniste, né en Belgique en 1972. Membre d'Ictus depuis les débuts de l’ensemble, il a également collaboré avec les ensembles Champ d'Action, MusikFabrik, Klangforum Wien et Schlagquartet Köln. Il est l’invité régulier de la section de percussion du Brussels Philharmonic. Il a créé de nombreuses œuvres en qualité de soliste ou de chambriste. Il a donné des masterclasses et des ateliers aux États-Unis, au Royaume-Uni et en Belgique et enseigne actuellement la percussion au Conservatoire royal de Liège.
