That is precisely why the Van Volxem site longed for more space. And now, after years of planning, sketching, building, and rebuilding, Rosas, P.A.R.T.S., and Ictus are ready to create from our renewed home base: 164VANVOLXEM, a creative hub we’re excited to share with the next generation of artists, with the city, and with all of you.
We’re celebrating this moment with a special Opening Festival inspired by the iconic Rosas danst Rosas, the performance that started it all. For nearly a month, we invite you to dive into the work of more than 45 artists, each closely connected to this place in their own way. Join us as we step into this new chapter together.

Let’s dance! Liefst met zoveel mogelijk mensen en artiesten van overal.
Precies daarom droomde de Van Volxemsite van meer ruimte. En jawel, na jaren van plannen, tekenen, bouwen en verbouwen, kunnen Rosas, P.A.R.T.S. en Ictus nu dansen en musiceren vanuit een vernieuwde thuisbasis: 164VANVOLXEM, een bruisende creatieve hub die we willen delen met een volgende generatie kunstenaars, met de stad en met u.
Dat gaan we vieren met een fameus Opening Festival geïnspireerd door het iconische Rosas danst Rosas waarmee het ooit allemaal begon. Bijna een maand lang kan iedereen mee genieten van het werk van meer dan 45 makers, stuk voor stuk verbonden aan deze site die nu een nieuwe toekomst ingaat.

Let’s dance … et de préférence avec le plus de monde possible, et des artistes des quatre coins du monde !
C’est pour cette raison précise que le site Van Volxem se rêvait plus spacieux. Et aujourd’hui, après des années passées à réfléchir, à esquisser des plans, à construire et reconstruire, Rosas, P.A.R.T.S. et Ictus sont fin prêts à créer sur un site rénové : 164VANVOLXEM, un pôle créatif que nous ne pouvons plus attendre de partager avec la prochaine génération d’artistes, avec la ville, et avec vous toutes et tous.
Pour marquer le coup, nous avons conçu un festival d’ouverture exceptionnel, inspiré par Rosas danst Rosas, la pièce emblématique avec laquelle tout a commencé. Pendant près d’un mois, nous vous invitons à plonger dans le travail de plus de 45 artistes en lien avec ce site, chacune et chacun à sa manière.
