Double bass and electric bass

Born in 1990, Hugo Abraham first begins his musical practice studying violin and viola de Gamba.
At 16, driven by a passion for Jazz music, he switches to the double bass. Later on, he pursues his studies at the New England Conservatory in Boston. He is currently finishing his masters in Historical Performance at the Juilliard school. In Europe, Abraham has performed with Ensemble Ictus, Orchestre de Paris, Orchestre National de l’Opéra de Paris, and Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, among others, working with leading conductors in major festivals and concert halls. Since 2012, Hugo Abraham is solo bassist in Ensemble Furians (France).

   
   
   
   

Né en 1990, Hugo Abraham commence la musique par l'étude du violon et de la viole de gambe. L'amour du jazz venant, à seize ans, il entreprend l'étude la contrebasse. Il poursuit ensuite ses études aux New England Conservatory de Boston, puis obtient un master en interprétation historique à la Juilliard School. Il joue avec l'Orchestre de Paris, l'Orchestre National de l'Opéra de Paris et l'Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, entre autres. Depuis 2012, Hugo Abraham est contrebassiste solo de l'Ensemble Furians (France).
