Three artistic projects emerge from a long experiential research journey. These works are interwoven into a singular performance set in a spatial acoustic environment, that naturally flows between aquatic evocations, erratic rhythms, and unprecedented sonic combinations.

The three projects share a process of deconstructing fixed roles (such as those of composers and performers) by embracing DIY instrument expansion and fostering an ongoing dialogue about co-creative processes, mutual trust, and broader artistic contexts.

Poliarmonica is an expanded instrument combining accordion, pedalboards, field recordings, and computer processing. As a result of a seven-year-long investigation into shaping a personal voice for this instrument, Poliarmonica embraces notions of site specificity, relationships, community, and ecology in a performative context.
Through this instrument, Luca Piovesan invites us into his doctoral research, inquiring the agency of a hybrid instrument as a catalyst for collaborative creation.

Tijdens dit concert word je uitgenodigd om te luisteren naar drie artistieke projecten die zijn voortgekomen uit een langdurige, ervaringsgerichte onderzoeksreis. Deze werken zijn verweven tot één uitvoering (geplaatst in een ruimtelijke akoestische omgeving) die op natuurlijke wijze beweegt tussen aquatische evocaties, grillige ritmes en verrassende klankcombinaties.

De drie projecten delen een proces waarin vaste rollen (zoals die van componisten en uitvoerders) worden gedeconstrueerd door het omarmen van DIY-instrumentuitbreiding en het bevorderen van een voortdurende dialoog over co-creatieve processen, wederzijds vertrouwen en bredere artistieke contexten.

Poliarmonica is een uitgebreid instrument dat accordeon, pedaalborden, veldopnames en computerverwerking combineert. Als resultaat van een zeven jaar durend onderzoek naar het vormgeven van een persoonlijke stem voor dit instrument, omarmt Poliarmonica ideeën van plaatsgebondenheid, relaties, gemeenschap en ecologie in een performatieve context.

"Ictus invites": nous invitons trois projets artistiques, qui sont le fruit d'un long parcours de recherche. Les œuvres s'entremêlent en une seule performance, présentée dans un environnement acoustique spatialisé oscillant entre les évocations aquatiques, les rythmes erratiques et d'inédites combinaisons sonores.

Les trois projets ont en commun un processus de déconstruction de certains rôles fixes (tels que ceux des compositeurs et des interprètes), à partir d'une préférence pour les instruments 'do it yourself' et d'un dialogue sur les processus de co-création et la confiance mutuelle. Le Poliarmonica est un instrument élargi combinant accordéon, jeu de pédales, enregistrements de terrain et traitement électronique. Fruit d'une recherche de sept ans visant à façonner une voix personnelle pour cet intrument, Poliarmonica embrasse les notions de l'oeuvre in situ, des relations interpersonnelles et d'une réflexion écologique en contexte performatif.

Au travers de la présentation de cet instrument, Luca Piovesan nous invite à découvrir sa recherche doctorale, qui étudie le rôle possible d'un instrument "hybride", en tant que catalyseur d'une communauté créative.
