For pianist/keyboard player Gwenaëlle Rouger the concert is conceived as a moment of experimentation, as much for the audience as for the performer; a time and space in which questions are expressed by engaging the senses. This explorative approach provides the creative impetus for the development of her performances, which bring together notated contemporary composition, improvisation, live electronics and performative installations, more details in her website: gwenaellerouger.com.

Having trained in Paris with the Argentinian composer and pianist Carlos Roqué Alsina, she received a Masters Degree with distinction in Contemporary Music Performance from the Royal College of Music, London, UK, in June 2014.

Gwenaëlle graduated with Distinction from the Contemporary Music Performance Masters at the Royal College of Music, London in 2014. On the international stage she has performed as a soloist or as a chamber musician at the 104 (Paris, France), Cadogan Hall, Cafe Oto (London,UK), Centralstation (Darmstadt, Germany), BOZAR (Brussels, Belgium), Ulumbarra Theater, BIFEM Festival (Bendigo, Australia), Cremorne Theater (Brisbane, Australia), & Lee Foundation Theater, NAFA (Singapore) among others. She has been invited to perform with ensembles such as Plus-minus ensemble (London/UK) and Ictus ensemble (Brussels/Belgium).

She is pianist and co-director of soundinitiative new music ensemble. She is currently in residence at the Cité Internationale des Arts (Paris, France) and She will be artist-in-residence at Akademie Shloss Solitude (Stuttgart, Germany) in 2016/217.
