Liese-Lotte Bekaert (°1999, Roeselare) is a Belgian percussionist whose work encompasses classical percussion, contemporary music, theatrical music, and electronics. Her artistic practice often explores human and societal themes, which she investigates through music.

In 2023, Liese-Lotte obtained her master’s degree in classical percussion at the Conservatoire Royal de Liège, where she also specialized in chamber music and theatrical music. In Liège, she was taught by Gerrit Nulens, Tom De Cock, and Rubén Orio.

In 2024, she completed a year-long Erasmus+ Traineeship at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus, Denmark. There, she was part of the artistic research project The Art of Interpretation and gained orchestral experience within the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra. During her time in Denmark, she also premiered her first solo project, IMPULSIEF.

In 2025, she enrolled in the Advanced Master in Contemporary Music at KASK & Conservatorium Ghent, where she is further deepening her creative artistic processes and her engagement with electronics.

Alongside her musical career, Liese-Lotte conducts doctoral research into Injury Treatment and Injury Prevention Protocols for percussionists at the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences, KU Leuven.
