Edoardo Giovanni Parente (1998) is percussionist, performer and composer.

He received a bachelor's and master's degree in percussion from the Conservatorio “Niccolò Piccini” in Bari with top marks under the guidance of M° Filippo Lattanzi. During his academic career he focused on contemporary repertoire for vibraphone and musical theater practice, thus beginning, to take an interest in performing arts and electronic music.

During his conservatory years, he won awards in several international competitions such as: 1st Prize at the World Percussion Movement - Vibraphone Category (2017), “Xenakis Prize” at the National Arts Award - Percussion Section for the best performance of “Rebonds b” (2019), 1st Prize at the Constantine Contest (2020) in the VI percussion category.

From 2022 to 2024 he took part in concerts of the “Symphony Orchestra of the Metropolitan City of Bari” as a percussionist. He played as percussionist in the contemporary music ensemble for SIMC and to performed the world premiere of Maestro Biagio Putignano's opera 'La verità nascosta'. He has attended master classes with Maestros Simone Rubino, Jean Geoffrey, Ludwig Albert and Andrew Lynge.

Currently, he continues his training in Brussels, where he attends Manama in collaboration with Ictus, where he is active as a percussionist, performer and composer. In 2024 he became president of the association Platypus APS with which he organized the “PLATYPUS: Festival of Contemporary Music and Art” in Alberobello (BA).
