The Druids - he Druids, Who Know, See and Hear Nothing #2 is a concert, a film, an experiment and an examination of the heart. It takes us along a more than seven hour train journey, and that by way of the iconic documentary Bergensbanen – minutt for minutt, which visualizes the 371 kilometer trip from Bergen to Oslo. This so-called ‘slow TV’ through the natural landscapes of Norway makes one pause for thought. Within the contours of an open composition from the hand of Joris Blanckaert, Nina Fukuoka and Erika Vega, GAME sets to work on a number of fundamental questions. It becomes a computer-operated confrontation with their musical past, as well as with one another in the present, and the choices that entails. Making choices is also central to this performance. Just like the musicians, the audience too has an influence on the images and on the music, and can determine when to enter, when to leave, when and where to sit, lie down, stand or walk around.

4 februari 2014 : Miryzaal, Conservatorium Gent

19 December 2013 : SATURNALIA, Miryzaal, Conservatorium Gent

Since the present academic year, the Faculty of Music - University College Ghent, , in collaboration with the Spectra & Ictus ensemble, offer a new Post Master programme with emphasis on Contemporary Chamber Music. This is an advanced programme which runs over two academic years and can only be followed by students who already have at an academic master’s degree. The programme is designed for musicians wishing to combine further specialization in performing contemporary solo & chamber music with developing their professional career.

This postmasters_on_stage calendar lists the various performances that include the actual post master students: pianist Fabian Coomans, flutists Anne Davids and Chrissy Dimitriou, guitarist Matthias Koole, viola player Annegret Mayer-Lindenberg, pianists Charlotte Otte and Sara Picavet, soprano Tomoko Taguchi and harpist Jutta Troch.

There are roughly two kinds of performances that are chronologically listed here: concerts in the regular concert circuit and auditions that take place in the Conservatory of Gent. The public is warmly invited to all these activities. The auditions on the last Thursday of each month are organized in the big Miry concert hall of the Conservatory of Gent and will have the character of an open master class.

Hereby we would like to draw special attention to the upcoming audition on the 19th of November and to the concert on the 29th of November in Brussels (Nadine). At this occasion we would to officially present for the first time the students to our public. Throughout various short concerts starting at 16h00 students can present their various projects to the public.
