The BOZAR concert series Echoes of Brussels hops back and forth along the capital’s timeline, highlighting memorable creations and residents. The Case of the Sea Dog takes students on a musical and visual journey of discovery through an imaginary Brussels.Through the eyes of children, we rediscover the city in a fictional way, through sounds and videos. Zeehondstraat: the name of this street, which runs perpendicular to Rue de Flandres, is a mystery in itself. According to an old Brussels legend, a seal (a sea dog) was discovered on this street in the 16th century during construction work. But why was it there? We urgently need to send a team of children to investigate.
De concertreeks Echoes of Brussels (BOZAR) springt op en af de tijdlijn van onze hoofdstad en legt haar oor bij memorabele creaties en inwoners. De zaak van de Zeehond neemt leerlingen mee op een muzikale en visuele ontdekking van een denkbeeldig Brussel. Vanuit het perspectief van kinderen herontdekken we de stad op een fictieve manier, via geluiden en video’s. * Zeehondstraat*: de naam van deze straat, die haaks op de Vlaamsesteenweg ligt, is op zich al een raadsel. Volgens een oude Brusselse legende zou er in de 16e eeuw tijdens graafwerkzaamheden een zeehond in deze straat zijn gevonden. Maar waarom was die daar? Het is hoog tijd om een brigade van kinderen op onderzoek uit te sturen.
La série de concerts Echoes of Brussels (BOZAR) parcourt l’histoire de notre capitale et se penche sur la mémoire de ses habitants et de leurs créations. L'affaire du Chien Marin emmène de jeunes élèves dans la découverte musicale et visuelle d’un Bruxelles imaginaire. À travers le regard des enfants, nous redécouvrons la ville de manière fictionnelle, en sons et en vidéos. La Rue du Chien Marin : ce nom d'une rue perpendiculaire à la Rue de Flandres est une énigme en lui-même. Selon une ancienne légende bruxelloise, un phoque aurait été découvert dans cette rue au XVIe siècle lors de travaux. Mais pourquoi était-il là ? Il est urgent de faire enquêter une brigade d'enfants.
