Munich in the 1970s. A fictional club is the meeting place of Jewish youth from the second generation after the Shoah.
They work, they love, they argue – all of this is embedded in the vibrant nightlife. The play draws on interviews, archive materials – including the cold case of a murdered Jewish club owner – as well as fictionalised texts by Dana von Suffrin and Anna Neata. “Cosmo” untangles the emotional landscape of young Jewish people in the post-war era.

München, in de jaren 1970. Een fictieve club waar Joden van de tweede generatie na de Holocaust elkaar ontmoeten. Ze werken er, worden verliefd, maken ruzie – en dat alles tegen de achtergrond van het bruisende nachtleven. Op basis van interviews en archiefmateriaal – in het bijzonder een onopgeloste moordzaak rond een Joodse clubeigenaar – en fictieve teksten van Dana von Suffrin en Anna Neata dompelt Cosmo ons onder in het emotionele landschap van jonge Joden in het naoorlogse Duitsland.
