A performed spoken opera

by Christiane Huber and Matthew Slomowitz

Tom De Cock, percussion

Munich in the 1970s. A fictional club is the meeting place of Jewish people from the second generation after the Shoah. Working, loving, arguing – all embedded in a vibrant nightlife. Drawing on interviews, archive materials – including the cold case of a murdered Jewish club owner – as well as fictionalised texts by Dana von Suffrin and Anna Neata, “Cosmo” brings us close to the emotional landscape of young Jewish people in the post-war era.

A spoken opera in a club format.
