1966, Belgium, secondary art School, Animated cartoons studies at ‘Ecole supérieure des arts visuels de la Cambre, Brussels’, Sound engineering studies at ‘Institut des arts de diffusion, Louvain la Neuve’

In 1991, after a few years of studio work, Alexandre Fostier started as sound engineer for Rosas - Anne-Theresa De Keersmaker (nearly all productions).

He also collaborated with Mark Morris, Meg Stuart, Ircam, Blindman Quartet, Vincent Dunoyer, Thomas Hauert, Walpurgis, TG Stan, Alain Platel, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and various other artists.

As musician or sound designer, he was invited by Remy Belvaux, Thierry de Mey, Blindman Quartet, Thomas Hauert, Aka Moon, Pierre Droulers, Brice Leroux and Vincent Dunoyer.

In 1994 a close collaboration started with Ictus. Since 1999 he’s member of the ensemble.

During these years, he has been involved in merely all amplified concerts, CD’s and creation works with, amongst many others, Georges Aperghis, Thierry De Demey, Steve Reich, Philippe Manoury, Magnus Lindberg, Javier Alvarez, Jonathan Harvey and Fausto Romitelli.
