From 2001 until 2003 Stefan Van Eycken was appointed as the first Ictus Fellow composer. The initial concern was how to administer or to foster a composer's career whilst maintaining his or hers most personal identity. The composer is invited to observe six different projects, preferrable creation projects (conversations with others composer, assisting rehearsals, touring with the ensemble). The fellow composer can workshop with Ictus musicians without necessarily leading to a performance. At least one composition commission is given within this period, yet this isn't the essence of the project. New fellows : Oscar Bianchi / Cédric Dambrain
